Tamar Valley Dairy is a family operated dairy company specializing in the production and supply of probiotic yoghurts and cultured milk drinks. Wholly Tasmanian owned and operated, the company supports local industry, relying on Tasmanian grown produce for all its ingredients. Tamar Valley Dairy is the only Tasmanian company exporting yoghurt to mainland Australia, and to countries throughout South East Asia.
Since its establishment in 1996 it has grown to become one of the market leaders in Tasmania. Supplying the major supermarket chains (Woolworths and Coles) and the independent supermarkets, the company's long term plans are to become national market leaders in the probiotic market segment, as well as a major dairy exporter overseas.
